• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Machine Jitters

Thanks for your honest opinion Spyder owners.

One more Question:
If I took a earlier RS Spyder for a test drive, you feel the RT would be a different feel and ride, or you feel there would be nothing but improvement ??

Who so far ordered a new RT before riding one??

Cheers!

The main difference between the RT and the RS is the riding posture. A stock RS is more of a forward facing posture whereas the RT is more of a upright and relaxed posture. They both will handle about the same.

So far my 2009 GS - I guess it's a RS now - has gotten dual exhausts, high flow air filer, O2 sensor eliminator, fan controller, handlebar risers, and so far so good.

I have not had the recall update done yet but enough here have mosty successfully battled any negative after effects - those that had any - that I'll do it whan I get around to it.

On tap - this week in fact - is an electric shift and some home-made floor boards. Oh - and it's second after-market wind shield.

I'm thinking that will be it - yeah right.

Pete

Some "mechanical" people advised us not to purchase something so radical but the pull was tooooo strong. After the first few demo rides there was no question that one would soon be ours. Purchased Nov 08 and 25,000 plus miles we are still extremely happy. Take the plunge.
