• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

new japan-spyder-copy ?

i like it except for the headlight and it does not look like that cheap chinese version.
i hope it is a project from one of big 4 japanese motorcycle manufacturer.
it sure does look like a prototype. i guess it's just matter of time that honda or kawasaki get in the market.

it's made by a small company in japan.

if you watch it closely... It looks to me like this may have been the first time that rider had driven that trike... Or it is an unstable version. I recognize a few spots in his reactions as he drives...

P.S. Fuuuuuuuggly:sour::wrong:

Lessee, single sided swingarm, sounds like a CVT (no shifting heard), good ideas, needs some serious cleaning up on the bodywork, way too much front end on it. Probably a good starting point, I'll keep my Spyder.

The looks need a little work, it doesn't look too comfortable either, but I hope someone else gets into the market. I also hope it is Japan, because I'd jump on it so long as it looks somewhat decent. The spyder definitely looks better, but I am wanting something reliable at this point. If I can work it I'll be getting a second bike to ride when the spyder is in the shop because I'm suffering from spyder withdrawal.

It's about time that BRP's R&D in Florida will move toward a Spyder Super Sport Edition; if not, the competition will eat them alive. nojoke

Ok Doc, Help me find a cheap 08-09 Spyder and we can dump the Busa motor in it. 430+ hp detuned and we can leave the computer stuff off. It can be a fun machine !!!!!!!!
If BRP wont make the SuperSport, we will do it ourselves.

Perhaps you could reclaim one of them that has been totaled by an insurance company for this project? :dontknow:

it does look like a unfinished prototype but it looks really good to me except for headlight looking like it was just thrown in after everything else was designed.
i do hope yamaha picks this up and market it, than again bimota stayed in business for long time without yamaha taking over so. :dontknow:
this thing seems to have really good suspension unlike spyder and with network of yamaha dealers nationwide, service can be a lot easier.
i love spyder but competition does bring out the best in companies.

Now thats a great idea. As long as the frame is straight, the rest of the stuff is Ebayable. I think i will patent that word...LOL

it says they use the delta-frame and the engine of the YAMAHA FZR 1000
(140 PS) and is now street-legal ..you can order it now ?!?
but not I :2thumbs:

1000 lbs. of UGLY

That is without a doubt the UGLIEST "thing" on wheels to ever come out of Japan. If I were BRP I wouldn't be losing any sleep over it.:D
