• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Now this is way out there, but is going in the right direction as far as I am concerned...

If they can include heating for winter conditions it would be terrific. Keeping the surface rough enough for traction seems to be a big hurdle. I would think the wear would act as a polishing situation. The ability to electronically re-stripe the road for traffic conditions and lighted lane markers in foggy/rainy conditions would be a huge safety factor.

That seems like some very cool technology and I hope they are able to make it a reality some day beyond their test panels.

They will be using our ashes in road mix before anything like this makes it to the market….

You are most likely right, and I love your positive thinking! :roflblack:

Cool ideas for sure--- and could even be used to power/charge electric cars while they drive.....

Would really need a large government initiative to make this happen - just like how our entire highway systems came to be.

Highways 2.0 --- BRING IT!

Verrrry interesting! My initial concerns would be if this could be practcal to implement in Northern climates where Wintertime sunlight is quite a bit less and you'd have to deal with snowplows trying to rip stuff loose...
I hope that they find a way to make it work!

The way I see it... Why not do this tech at all our crosswalks, Rail Road Crossings, Pedestrian/Bicycle crossings and things like that.

The options are endless with this type of tech. Like mentioned about... Charging of vehicles... Think of all the city buses. The would no longer need overhead power.

Or how about New York Taxi's.

This would create a HUUUUUUUUUUGE amount of jobs.

Think of all the recycled glass and plastics that could be re-used...

Heck... At the bare minimum... I could see these in the walkways/pathways of Airports (Seriously, think on that) and Malls... :ohyea::thumbup:

Me JOKE???

Why everybody who knows me says that I'm more serious than a heart attack at an IRS audit! (But they lie!) :ohyea:
