• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:welcome: and Thank you for your service ...... " 2024 RT Ltd. - STS " ??? .. what does the STS stand for ??? ..Mike

Sea to Sky

Welcome to the Forum Charlie! And Congrats on your new Sea to Sky too! :congrats:

As for the STS thing, there's a whole lot of members here who still remember the early ST model Spyders, for which the abbreviation STS or ST's was used extensively; so with the arrival of the newer models, the abbreviation of S2S has been widely adopted here for the more recent Sea to Sky versions!

So if you want to avoid any chance of confusion, it's probably best if you use S2S, unless of course, you really ARE referring to a 2016 or earlier V-Twin powered ST?! :ohyea:

Thank You for the clarification, I was unaware of the earlier "STS" abbreviation. I'll certainly use the currently correct S2S moniker.

I went back to my original Post to see if I could correct the verbiage and found that Peter Aawen had graciously performed the correction for me. Thanks Peter.
