• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just purchased a 2011 Spyder RT Limited and will take delivery in 7-10 days. Hate to leave my 07 Ultra Classic but realistically my confidence and ability on a 2 wheeler is diminishing ( will be 75 soon). Three wheels gives me new horizons more safely. Trying to learn the protacol for Spyders so signed up on this website. Do you wear chaps and vests? And where can I get new vest back patches to replace HD stuff? Any suggestions appreciated.:doorag:

Welcome

:congrats: & :welcome:

You've found the :firstplace: spot on the Web for anything & everything SpYder Related. This forum & its members are 2nd to none:firstplace:

If you look at the Home page & Sponsers, I believe Cat Specialties will have the patches that you seek  And (IMHO) you can pretty much wear what your comfortable with, keeping in mind safety of course.

:2thumbs:Again, Congrats on your purchase & we look forward to hearing about all your new horizons that you will get to discover:2thumbs:

:welcome: I know what you mean about worrying more and more about diminishing skills and physical ability. Still riding two, but I feel better on three. Wear whatever you like, you will see every combination known to man or woman in this group...except maybe a chicken suit. Patches should be available from CAT, one of the sponsors on the home page. The Spyder takes a little time for an old cylist to get used to, but you're gonna love the Ryde!

:welcome: you probably won't have your Spyder in time for the Owner's Event in Maggie Valley, NC but check here often to follow the fun. You will find that Spyder riders are a great bunch of people and we welcome you even with HD patches.

:2thumbs: Welcome to our nightmare!! :D Please don't hesitate to bring up a question because there's probably more than one of us also wondering the same thing... :opps:
Besides; giving advice is what we do best here... :D :joke:

Hmmmmmm... now you've given me an idea! :roflblack:

:welcome::2thumbs::congrats: as for what to wear, wear whatever you need to be comfortable while riding. The roadster is a unique experience and you are sure to find it fun and exciting.

:welcome::congrats:. I know all about losing confidence in my 2 wheel abilities. The :spyder2:is the perfect answer for us "seasoned" riders.

Ride in comfort,

:welcome: You will love it. If attire bothers you do it in the buff. There is a SL that's professed to ryding sans the confines of her clothes. :p
Enjoy the rydes. They are priceless!
