• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello, have been riding my RT since last July so I did not have the time to join till it was covered in the garage. I purchased a 2013 RT, red & black, everything I have done to it is to prevent it from going up in flames, so far so good. Dropped the cat in the scrap yard, wrapped the exhaust pipes, K&N air filter, Power Commander PC/FC have not decided yet on an exhaust can sounds good with no cat and the stock can. It was sent though the recall so it already has the air scoopes on the sides. I really enjoy riding the thing as it now runs like a scalded dog.
Thank You for letting me join, I hope I can meet up and ride with my fellow SpyderLovers.

:congrats: on your new Spyder and :welcome:!!!

Welcome Larry.

Did you also do the evaporative canister delete? It is well worth while on the 998 platform.

Also, since you're doing the heat delete stuff. On my '08 GS (I had the boiling gas problem too) removing the bottom splash guards underneath helped with the heat a great deal. I would think it's also worthwhile doing it on the RT for the same reasons.

Really on the 2013 RT, the scoops and the insulation panels was all that was necessary to eliminate the heat issue! The others mods may provide some better performance!

Welcome from WAAAAAYYYY up here in MN ;) Hope to see you at some of the 2018 local events like Spyder Spin in Onalaska, MN or Rendezvous in WI or Spyder Fever in Council Bluffs, all are great Spyder events, as are many, many others further away around the country!
