• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

"NEW" Givi E55 Maxia Trunk

hi everyone do you spyderlovers know where i can buy givi trunk set up one member said hear is a web site but no web site if you can help thats cool thanks:helpsmilie:

back rest?

Those of you with the GIVI trunk setup, Do you think the spyder brp backrest could be modified to fit the trunk mount?

I think . . . . .

I wanna know what's the story with your rear fender and license plate. Just a desired mod or did you have rear fender troubles?

Also, that stock muffler finish looks familiar. Mine had the black paint flaking off pretty bad. I sanded it all down and recoated it with some 1500 degree paint. It's holding up good so far this summer but I'll have to wait and see what the cold, snow and salt do to it.

. . . . Nick is one of those ( if not The ) high mileage riders. This goes to show the fenders evaporate after 75 gazillion miles. The front ones are already all gone. The rear looks like it has another 20 or so before it is gone.

It is a good look, I can't wait!

In the first 2k miles I lost the cover to the license plate light. When I found out you needed to replace the whole housing to get the plastic cover, I used a spare piece of plastic from the tool room with some crazy glue to hold it in place. a few weeks later while parked on the street in the city a car bumped me from behind and smashed it all to pieces.

So, then I moved on to relocating the plate below the tail. Then I got two tickets from the NYPD in the same month... a combination of my fat butt, terribly weak stock suspension and some big city pot holes had me bottoming out and the plate getting smacked to the point that is was totally horizontal. The Highway rangers, really, don't like it when they cant see your plate.

so I went to a friends house, got some tools, a few zip ties, a couple of L brackets from the basement and an LED plate bracket then just made it all work. since then I've been hit from behind in traffic and have seen cars bump me from behind and I have no damage. That tire is like a big bumper.

... and that's actually my third muffler. They just don't seem to last long around here.

Just remember that you can install the Givi monolok case with the included bracket. Removable but saves couple hundred bucks. The E95S backrest is quite large and would be comfortable I think.

further thought

I guess my question has been answered before. I could mount the GIVI mount plate to the BRP rear rack plate and swap out when I don't need the trunk. I just wish BRP would sell the plate separate so I could experiment.

Been there. I think my newest license plate mount to the Kewl rack is a keeper.

Givi E55 Monokey

My husband just bought one for me and am on the way to pick it up. The only thing I'm not clear about is whether it comes with lights on the back of it or not. Does anyone out there have this?
