• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. New front LED lighting

Rainy weekend so did some lighting work on the F3.

I had already installed the LED headlights. Now has the Spyderpops led bump skid and upgraded the fog lights to LED. Lights up the road pretty well and like the white color match.

Sweet

Nice job! :2thumbs: I have the LED headlights on my RT-S will be buying the LED's for the fog lights soon. I have the Bump skid w/o the lights so I won't be getting a new one for now.

Looks great! Nothing like being seen and seeing the road ahead of you. I've got a gap-tooth smile on my bump skid lights - caught some gravel when I hit a depression in the road, and the depression happened to be full of spilled gravel. It knocked out three LEDs, I think.

Have you spoken with Spyderpops about obtaining a replacement led string?

What bulb / kit did you use for the fog lights? I have the 'pillar of light' because mine are reversed so I may as well change the bulbs when I get them swapped.

The combination of the fog lights, the bump skid and the fender LEDs make you so very visible. Looks great. The bump skid puts out much more light than I would have thought.

LED H3 lamps are bit of a problem. They are NOT plug n play. Its not the wireing, that is easy. Its mounting the lamp where the tiny H3 bulb is. The HELLA lamp clip has to be removed and a different clamp fabricated to hold the larger LED and heat sink module on the back. I used these:

Looks GREAT. I did front LEDs when I had my 09. Love how it turned out. Can't wait to get an F3. I drool every time I see one.

Is there a chance a cop may pull you over for being to bright?

A chance? Maybe... but I think I have better odds of winning the lottery that I don't play. Some states have obscure lighting codes (No pulsing ground effect. No red or blue in the front) but they are aimed at cars. The average patrol officer has neither the time nor inclination to bother a lit up bike. They know it safer for us.

When I first started putting LEDs on my bikes I asked a few LEO friends if it was legal in PA. The consensus was "who cares?". They don't have the entire vehicle code memorized. Unless you are speeding excessively or riding in an unsafe manner, they have more important things to worry about.

Edit: Anything is possible. For all I know, a cop in Nebraska might pull me over because of the lights and an out of state plate. Ya never know. I'll fight that fight if it ever happens.

I don't think a police officer will pull you over for being too bright. Most people I know ride with their brights on and leds going. In Texas, you can light your ride up like a Christmas tree. Just no blinking red and blue. You can having blinking solid colors but not red and blue together. I'm a big fan of being seen at night. I almost got ran over more than I would like to count on my M109R. That's why I added hids, leds and air horn to it. I even had a knight rider kit for the back. Loved it. We need somewhere that we can post everyone's LEDs.
