• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think the bitching and moaning is good for a new buyer looking. Wouldn't you rather be armed with all the information, than be surprised by it?
Heck, if you want to see some real piss'n and moaning, go to a Land Rover thread a few years back(or maybe now, not sure). Its amazing they ever sold one car.:roflblack::roflblack: I bought one and bought a spyder just as well...you might say i'm a glutton for punishment, but i don't have a single regret over either. :dontknow:

BRP has issues like most companies do, and when they use the public to do the beta testing, they are going to get the blowback that comes with it. i think it's fair.:D

I have to admit, I do get tired of hearing "my goldwing is much more reliable". If you can find one, go back and buy a motorcycle made in the first 6 years that Honda was in business and ride it. Then go ahead and compare the 2 machines. This machine is still in it's infancy and nobody is perfect. I used to go to a certain ski-doo riders site, which shall remain nameless until I realized their were some shady things going on. One person I talked with posted that his 2007 MX-Z X-RS 800 was slow and riddled with problems. When I tried to get him to elaborate on his problems it became clear that he didn't own such a sled. I later found out that he was actually an Arctic Cat owner, and all he ever did was bash ski-doo sleds on that site. People are petty, vain, stubborn, ignorant, pushy, rude, self-assured, and definitely more impressed with themselves than most everybody else is. Venting is good, talking out your :cus: is bad.

Just sayin'.............

Well, lets see....eliminate the largest market BRP has, along with a certain american firm who came to the rescue of brp to help it survive...I think it's safe to assume without both of those examples, nobody would be riding a spyder.:doorag:
The Canadian goverment has inventested Billions into Bomdardier over the years so i think they wouldn't stop now :doorag:

But we're sorry for burning down the white house years back...:yikes:

Complaining about the complainers ! WoW

Is this forum a dictatorship on here ! Why don't the moderators ban all the negative post or as they calling it moan and groaning .

So that's what it comes down to if you love your spider and it gives you no problems please feel free post where ever you want .

But if you have problems and you vent on here just to see of others or many are having the same issues . It's a problem . Then the suggestion is to isolate all the complainers , wow.

Can some one please answer this for me . To make a comment about all the complainers moaning and groaning . With all the issues people are having does that not raise some concerns bout the bike. If your tired of reading negatives things , I then ask are the negative issues are posted more than the more positives ones .

I have learn a lot from my elders more experience Spyder owners and yes the machines are fun to ride but a forum can go all different ways the good the bad and some times the ugly !

Haven’t met a Canadian I didn't like.

That goes for you to Buttsy!

And I am being serious here.

Couple of old sayings to provide perspective:

“Instead of complaining that the rosebush is full of thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses”

"At a round table, every seat is the head place"

We all probably whine and complain too much from time to time, but just think how great we have it when the :spyder2: is running smoothly and we are able to enjoy the wind blowing in our face. More than makes up for the bad times.

My opinion, SL's is a big round table with room for all! Even the occasional
:gaah:.

I've been on here since Dec. 2008 and still haven't made up my mind as to whether I'll be buying a spyder.

Can I have some cheese with that whine?

maybe we just need a site for canadians to g o too that's not interested in peoples views

I found your comment to be extremely offensive. Displaying your bigotry in public is not cool. Not a complaint, not a moan, just a shot across the bow to let you know how an innocent comment might hit the wrong nerve in us foreigners.

Please note that no emicons were used to soften the edge of this reply.

I think that a big helping of Ice Cream might just help everybody's mood this morning!

Without us Canadians you would not have Insulin, Treatment for Diabetes [1921, Frederick Banting, Charles Best]
In 1869 Paul Langerhans, a medical student in Germany, was studying the histology of the pancreas. He noted that this organ has two distinct types of cells—acinar cells, now known to secrete digestive enzymes, and islet cells (now called Islets of Langerhans). The function of islet cells was suggested in 1889 when German physiologist and pathologist Oskar Minkowski and German physician Joseph von Mering showed that removing the pancreas from a dog caused the animal to exhibit a disorder quite similar to human diabetes mellitus (elevated blood glucose and metabolic changes). After this discovery, a number of scientists in various parts of the world attempted to extract the active substance from the pancreas so that it could be used to treat diabetes.

One of those scientists was Romanian physiologist Nicolas C. Paulescu. Paulescu received his education in Paris, where he trained under French physician Étienne Lancereaux. Lancereaux had long suspected that the pancreas was the source of diabetes. At the beginning of the 20th century, having received doctorates in biological chemistry and the natural sciences from the University of Paris, Paulescu began searching for the active pancreatic substance that he believed would cure diabetes. He returned to Bucharest, where, working in experimental physiology at the university there, he later hypothesized that the active substance of the pancreas acts on glucose, allowing glucose to be stored in muscles and in the liver, and when absent, results in the accumulation of glucose in the blood. Between 1914 and 1916, Paulescu performed experiments in which he obtained an antidiabetic pancreatic extract. He conducted a series of experiments in 1916 in which he injected the extract into diabetic dogs and measured blood glucose levels.
