• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New for 2013- Pics that tell all

I just got permission to share these pics with you all. This shows how much the Spyder has changed from the inside out. The frame is stronger and the front has been radically changed. As you can see the a-arms are shorter and the shocks set more upright. This change has made the biggest difference in the handling along with new suspension calibration. The battery has now been moved to the front of the frame and is access through the trunk. The motor has new mounting points that reduce vibration and movement under load. All and all it a complete redesign of the frame for the better.

New frame (all models)

This shows the new frame in green. Much stronger and allows for new components for suspension. Battery is now mounted in front of frame and accessed through the front trunk.

Thanks to all of us test pilots and the time and research dollars put fourth and posted here... our machines are now officially antiquated.

Those are some nice non adaptable changes :(

Always informative.
I can't wat to see the rest of the pics when you get permission to show them... wink, wink!
Thanks

Looks great Lamont even though I decided to save money and go for a 2012. Do you know what items, I.E. floorboards that can be retro fitted to earlier models?

Yeah all the stuff I have for my iPhone 4 won't work with the iPhone 5. I hate progress :roflblack:

Floorboards, new adjustable handlebars and the new pipes with work on all RT's except the boards are for SE only.

Thank you Lamonster, the red & green superimposing pics provide for the best possible comparison of the changes. what we don’t see is what makes the world go around nojoke

Dang... Here I was; all ignorant and happy with my outdated and poor-handling, buzzy, difficult to maintain 2010...

What I want to know is if you have a higher post count than odometer reading? You blew by me in two years.
