There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It is a little on the expensive side but then I figure it will be on all my Spyders from here on out. What I got was the Can-Am Spyder RT/RT-S Plus3 TALL WIDE "Clear" Windshield at $360 with their modified Gold Wing vent installed by them, which was an additional $70, plus shipping. If you check with them in the next few months they are going to make the installed vent their standard but you will still be able to get one without the vent but not sure why you would do that. The vent makes a huge difference in letting air into the cockpit and also reducing the back-pressure and turbulence behind the windscreen.

Curious if they have the holes that are on the 13 models or is that the reason for the vent? I want a "tall/wide" version but don't need the vent if it has the holes, but without the holes the vent would be needed. (The one pictured above does not have the holes)

Carl, was it easy to install? What effect if any does it have on the passenger seat? Does it cut down on the wind back there? Can you still raise and lower it?

The F4 does not have the holes found in the '13. We have ridden both extensively and found that the vent allows good control of the buffeting in varied riding conditions, whereas the holes obviously did not allow that control. We can custom cut the holes for anyone who would like their shield to have them. Right now, our standard on the Plus 3 Wide shield will be the adjustable vent.

Now, if only the Spyder Ltd. would arrive as fast.
Since I don't have the Spyder yet, I'll just sit on a stool, hold the F4, and practice looking through it ! :roflblack:
Nice thing is, I'll have the dealer put on the F4 when they uncrate the Spyder and not even bother with the OEM shield.

I just purchased this windshield and like not having the wind hitting me from the sides and top like the stock. The oversized windshield was just what I needed. One thing like to see it a bit more ridged noticed the windshield vibrates a bit but have really no complaints.
I wonder if the front top of the windshield was curve up would it bring the air up and over more also for me and the passenger??
