• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Is there any way to keep the windshield up instead of raising it each ride?

Hi,
New '24 STS owner. I checked the user's manual but didn't see anything on this. Is there a way to just keep the windshield up all the time instead of having to raise it each time you go for a ride?

Not sure about 2024, but 2020-2023 RT's the windshield will return to the last position it was in when the bike was turned off. It will move to the lowest position at shutdown.

Yes, there is... at least on the '20-'23's, so try it on your '24. Immediately after you turn off the key, press and hold the Windshield UP switch for about 5 seconds. Then you can let go. This cancels the auto retract. You might even hear a faint relay click while you're holding it, but 5 seconds is enough. When the shutdown is completed, the windshield stays up in the current position. Y'all go try it.

Great, thanks! I'll give it a try.

On my 21 S2S you have to raise the windshield while the bike is running then hold the switch in the "up" position while switching the ignition off. Whenever you switch the ignition off the screen will then return to the up position even if you have lowered it for some reason.

So, does the same procedure turn it back to the OEM setting?

If you want your windshield to stay up, do as mentioned above. You have to do this every time you shut off bike if you want to keep it up. Bruce

BamaJon, Yes you are correct. whether the screen is up or down when you switch the ignition off, that is where it will return to. So hold the screen switch wherever you want it.
