I'm new to this forum. Last Friday I looked at my first Spyder. It's seems to me that most riders like that touring style machine. I noticed many riders add the same items:risers, touring pegs, some with floorboards, windshield, upgraded seat, etc. So, if this seems to fit popularity, why doesn't BRP come out with a touring bike? Wouldn't that seem to be quite a saleable ride? If this bike was out, I'd buy one today!!:chat:

Don't look for any drastic changes or new equipment until 2012 model. This is as per Dealer who swears he is in the know.:dontknow:

:agree: There are too many 08s and 09s - they will probably cut production and re-badge the later 09s.

Doesn't mean that they can't come out with all the parts & have the dealer assemble some, like the phantoms

A BRP guy in LA said something will be here in September. He was not specific because he was under contract not to say anything.... but he did say "you haven't seen anything yet".

Maybe he was referring to our mileage pins when he said "you haven't seen anything yet".

A Touring Spyder Would Be Nice

I agree. When you buy all those extras after you purchased the unit it does tend to be more expensive. I would have bought a Spyder already decked out if they had one. pkhyea:

Doubtful that BRP would make it perfect enough that you still won't need to do a fair amount of alterations.
