• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New dealer list for Garmin GPS

Worked great on my 660. Foloowed your instructions and it went right in. Thanks for your effort, it's appreciated :firstplace:

Does this update still use the "Spyder Dealers" on the garmin 660's main page that come with the new spyders?

If you follow my instructions in post #1 it will replace "Spyder Dealers" on the Can-Am Garmin with one I created that works, looks and feels the same.

I had a chance to look at a 2014 RT Limited this week and as with all Limiteds it comes with a GPS. I checked out the Spyder Dealers feature and found that the file still has not been updated and has the same 2009 data that has been loaded all Can Am version GPS since 2010. So if you wish to have more accurate and up to date Spyder Dealer list, download the file in post 1 and follow the instructions.

If you know of dealers that are closing, moving or new. Please give me the details and I will make the changes to make the file up to date.

Updates

I installed this on my 660 and it went so well that I also added the file to my Nuvi 2797 LMT.
It also works great!
If I save this link will it be updated periodically so that I would just delete the file I have and drop in the new one?
Thanks for the great work
Wayne

File updated with 2 new dealers.

Blue Ridge Powersports
20 Heritage Dr
Harrisonburg, VA 22801

Lincoln Power Sports

Australia

Thanks to Rattagan_Roger for the info. I have added the Australian dealers to the file.
I have tested in simulator mode on my 660 and it appears to work but I don't have a Australian map loaded.

Since I don't have a 765T to test I can't be sure because of differences between models but this is what I can figure out. The list you got from me should not appear in your favorites. That will be a different list from a .gpx file copied directly to your Garmin.

On my Zumo 660 my .gpi file and the BRP. gpi file will only display the nearest 52 dealers. I don't know why there is a limit to the list display length but all the data is there and will display the nearest 52 depending on where you are at the time you look.

I hope that helps.

Nice. Thank you

Followed directions for my Zumo 660. Works like a charm. Thanks a million.

The navi already took me to the ghetto and gave a mission accomplished last month. Glad SOMEBODY is taking the initiative to fix that.

Australia changes

One dealer deleted and change info for one that changed location.

Reminder if you know of any additions, deletions or corrections to the dealer list please let me know and I will update it.

So if I understand correctly we need to continue to use the original file to get the updates for our Garmins? Please confirm

Thanks for all the hard and continued work:clap:

The link in post #1 is staying the same. The file it links to will keep getting updated. So each time I post that it has been updated. You can download the file from the link in post #1 and replace the one in your Garmin for the latest and greatest file. You may not want to bother every time. For example I recently added dealers for New Zealand. If you live in the USA, New Zealand dealers will likely not be very important to you.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks everyone, the push the slide to release the battery cover provided the unknown. Now I can update and thanks to everyone that provide the information to help me get the software updates. I'll have to consider the cost of new maps but now I have the software updated.

I noticed Can-Am just updated theirs but it appears they didn't do a great job with accuracy. I guess I will be sticking with your version of it instead of Can-Am's.
