• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Cortech Tank Bag

After four years of having the Cortech Mini Tank bag, which has overall served me well in the time that I owned it. I finally needed a new tank bag.The problem with the mini was that the zipper closer for the main compartment was wearing and the zip just kept coming apart and wouldn't stay shut and kept jamming when trying to close it. So, I decided to upgrade to the new Cortech Super 2.0 12 liter Magnet mount tank bag. I like this bag for it's larger size than the mini and it can be used as a small back pack as well. This is handy to have on trips to places. My dealer happened to have one that they just got in, so I bought it from them. I mounted the bag to the spyder by taking four large magnet discs that I took out of a Joe Rocket tank bag that I had at home and I duck taped them on the underside of the Y-panel where the magnets from the new tank bag would meet. This actually works well. I also took the three buckles from the cortech mini and zip tied them to the loops on the new bag where the pack pack straps hook and one on the handle to lock it in place with the strap mounts from the old cortech mini. I also used the foam pad from the cortech mini to add extra protection for the Y-panel. You could say the new Cortech tank bag is now a strap/magnet mount. I like this setup because the bag stays secure with the straps and doesn't slide around with the magnet pads holding it in place. The styling of this bag fits very nice on the RS Spyder too. It has a lot of nice features with pockets to hold pens sunshades, cell phones, mp3 players, camaras, gloves ect.. This bag can be seen at the link below from motorcyclegear. They also make a strap mount version in this size, but I'm not sure if the lower buckle would interfer with the seat when closed. They make the 8 liter in this style which looks like it would work on the spyder, which is actually a newer version of the Cortech mini. The 8 liter though can't be used as a backpack. That is why I liked the 12 liter bag. The price for this bag was $98.00 at my dealer. I find this to be a very nice tank bag for the spyder.
