• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does this mean that you won't be giving us Mac users the old "I don't know about Macs." excuse anymore if we call for website tech support? :D

One thing I can say about the mac is everything just works....except for Fusion or Parallels (windows interface).

The OS is so much faster than my pc with xp. I still have a lot to learn about it but so far I like it. I've been a pc user since 94 and it's time for a change.

The real reason I posted this is because I thought the Spyder was too cool. :doorag::spyder:

if you need any text support give me a scream

Running windows on a mac is like trying to run a Spyder on urine

:agree:

50% of Mac owners run Windows? Occasionally or all the time? That number sounds really high to me as most of the reason for buying a Mac is to run OSX. For the record, Windows has never even came close to being run (emulation programs or regular Windows install) on my Mac.

:flamesuit: I get my fix of the Windows user experience :banghead: at work where I'm forced to use PCs. :( :/flamesuit:

The first stat I gave you was from Gartner group. I can't link to the report because it's on an intranet. This chart shows that MacIntel (Windows on Mac) has close to three times the market share of any Mac OS. More info can be found here.

As a technical analyst of 10+ years, I've spent lots of time comparing operating systems and hardware. I run parallels on a MacBook and Leopard on another. It's cool if you want to be anti-Windows like everyone else but Mac isn't the answer. Linux is. And it's free. ;)

As a consumer the system and computer blows away windows based systems but I'll drop it here it is a Spyder forum
