The new clutch for my 09 se5 came in Sat., so installed it yesterday. Soaked the new plates in engine oil over night, took my time and performed everything by the book. took it out for a test run, shifts very crisply, ran it for several miles at varying speeds, and gave it the acid test. Was running about 70-75 and rolled on the throttle hard and it did the same thing it had been doing. The rpms immediately jump and then the speed catches up with the rpms. This is the new style clutch. Using amsoil motorcycle oil from Ron. Is there a longer protracted run-in period for new clutches. If I don't get on it really hard, it doesn't react that way.
Had it up over 90 on the freeway and it runs great, just seems to be when I roll on the throttle hard. Only mods are the Hindle and cruise control.
