New camper

& can't wait for Spring to use it. It weighs only 250# empty and I can set-up and close it without help. I just hope I don't have to do so in a wind storm!

Good for you Patti. My wife's idea of camping is a five star hotel without room service.

See you in MO.....27' here...but blue skies...Spyder being serviced...changing out all the fluids, etc. 36k so decided to get 'er done before can't ryde for winter. Sure hoping weather holds headed to kids in CDA for Thanksgiving and would love to ryde there...yep its a great day and Patti looks like you have a really great tent/trailer. Are you keeping your 622 ?

The 622 is sold and gone to a new home in Denver. For coffee and internet, I have a small kettle to heat water and I'll carry a long extension cord. Many campgrounds have water and electric at tent sites. And many campgrounds also have internet, so I'll keep all my devices charged. If there's no electric, I can use my inverter in the trunk of my Spyder to heat water for my coffee. I'm just happy to not to have to sleep on the ground. The plan is that this will save me lots of money on hotels so I can tour more. Of course if it's rainy, I can still do the hotel thing.

I'm needing to get my Spyder to the dealer in KC to have them replace the ignition module, per the recommendation of the tech at the Boerne, Tex. dealer. But it's supposed to be really cold tomorrow. My best bet for ryding over there is Monday, and will need to see if I can get my bro (Stoney Rodent) to go along to bring me home.

I'd prefer hotels, but trying to save some bucks. Spend less, travel more! So I'll ryde my Spyder and pull my camper. My next step will be driving a camper and pulling/hauling my Spyder, but I can't afford that now.

Patti, I'm curious, what keeps the top that folds over and down to become the floor from being pushed into the ground and scraped/scratched all up???:dontknow::dontknow:

When you came across the border at Osoyoos into BC on your way to Alaska, the Leesure Lite factory and business was about a mile from there. Have been to their business and watched them being made. They are well made and as you know by now, very easy to set up. The owners are also bikers and use their product.

Anywhere from $20 to $35, depending on location. Sampling some KOAs in the eats, they're more like $50!

There's a luggage rack on the lid with rails for tying down stuff. The lid becomes the floor and rests on those rails. The mfr recommends putting down a mat to protect the rails from getting scratched up on rocky ground. I plan on carrying some of those pipe-wraps that I can put over the rails before I open it up.
