• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had to ride Carol's Spyder about 100 miles this afternoon. It was my first true ride after her new 23 inch windshield , lower air deflectors and the new brp seat was put on.

One word. BAD.

Ok two words. BAD and UNSAFE

I have just spent the last hour decompressing. The exhaust fumes permeating the riders air pocket are insane and outright dangerous. I had a splitting headache within 20 minutes and pulled over 4 times to "air out" on the way home. My clothes smell like I just crawled out of the inside of a car exhaust after a 3000 mile trip . I took off my riding jacket halfway because I didnt want it completely contaminated with the exhaust odor. I was able to move around alot and find out whats happening , the wind is swirling up and over the top , and coming back up from beneath the spyder in front of my torso. the lower air deflectors stop ALL and I mean ALL air movement in the area from your knees to you chest so the wind is going over your head, following your body down the back and then being pulled back up by the "vacum" in front of your torso now, and in that air is the exhaust. More Noticeable on acceleration , and decel to a stop. I am going to remove the lowers right now and ride it but I am 110% sure thats it. Yeah everyone knows I bleed Bombardier yellow , but man this really is bad.

The seat and windshield are nice though

Someone else posted about this problem too - but I think it was with the Marcel shutter thingys.

I really fail to see why anyone needs less air on their legs - it's a motorcycle !

Again the CHAD setup is looking better due to it having decent air venting from under the shield - rather than just making a bubble with no air in it.

NMN has a shield for sale right now on a thread somewhere that shows a solution to the "vacuum" affect. Many shields have slots or holes in the shield to relieve the back pressure.

Coming from cruiser style riding, it's alot less air on the legs anyway. Took me a while to get used to but it's nice and toasty in the cooler weather!

CHAD is the way to go!

I have the 25" and have not put the side deflectors on. I absolutely love my new shield!
