• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New backrest installed.

Just installed my backrest. I was going to do a "how to", but the instructions are good and it literally takes 10 minutes, 5 if your good. Very easy. Instructions say to remove the seat lift cylinder from the seat (not the bike). You don't HAVE to do this, but it just lets you raise the seat some and you could maybe bend it if you put too much pressure on the side of the seat (unlikely). Then you just put the bracket under seat, put 4 screws, pop out the cover in the seat (was probably the hardest step, lol), and insert the hitch. Easy Peezy

Do you mean into the bracket? If so, yeah. If you mean staying upright, it seems to be. Its easy to tilt down.

:agree: Thanks for bringing some pictures "to the table"...
There's a lady that's looking for information on the Gray/Black backrests...
I think that she wants the part numer for them...
(I'll go find her name for you!)

Thanks, let me clarify...in the bracket, does it lock in good. I see there is a lever on the bracket under the seat for the release. It looks as though it only locks one side?

I have quickly (due to how cold it is in MN) put it on, but did not push it down hard enough to lock it. I did tilt it and that worked fine.

I was just asking about how it locked into the seat bracket. Thanks for your info. :2thumbs:

Now I'm happy, I see that the grey is actually two toned black and grey. Just what I've been looking for. Now if only my dealer had ordered something other than black. He's got 7 of the black ones in stock.

Yeah, it locked in place pretty easily. I pushed it in and heard the click. Pulled on it and it didn't come out. Have not tried the release underneath.
