• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New adjustable handlebars

Allow me to pile on for a moment: THEY WANT A THOUSAND DOLLARS (all-inclusive) FOR THIS?!? :yikes::yikes::yikes:

Man, those bars *are* sharp, but hey-zeus h., that's offensive.

OK, I got my Farkle fix. Just ordered a set. :ohyea:. The guy on ebay has two left at $499. I like a good challenge and I can't imagine paying full retail plus $400 for installation. Besides, the steering is a part of the Spyder I haven't taken apart yet. :doorag: .

Do yourself a favor, if you don't have a shop manual go get one now.

Watch the video

They sure glossed over the need for the dongle in that video for audio streaming. And the fact that for bike to bike with their setup everyone has to use Sena headsets all partied with each other.

The handlebars were neat, though technically they only adjust in two dimensions.. Forward/back and up/down. For three dimensions, they'd need to go in and out as well.

It didn't really show me how much they move based on the stock bars original position though. And an additional pivot at the grips themselves could be beneficial.

I found the video to be informative. I do like, the vented windshield, the adjustable air vents and the fact that the handle bars will adjust as shown. As with any :spyder2: accessories, you must "pay to play".

I got a really good deal on the comfort seat, so have one to put on akspyderlady's 2011 one of these days.

I saw this thread and thought I'd share that we had them installed on the wife's RT last Friday Took the dealers installer about 3 hrs. They work great and she's really happy with them plus they look good too. Went with the black carbon since she's not much a fan of Chrome. They did have to order the new mount for the NAV but it just came in so should have it installed Monday.

Tri-Axis vs. Stock handlebar

Does any know if the cross section of the handlebars 10" in from the edge of the grip is the same between the Tri-Axis and stock.
I've had 3 customers inquire in the last 5 hours and my dealer doesn't have a Tri-Axis in the show room.

Looks like it is close to the standard handle bars. Across they measure the same, but top to bottom the adjustable is 2.665 and the standard is 2.718. The shape looks identical to me. Hope this helps. If you want to make the mount and send it to me I will try it on and let you know how it fits and of course I will return it.
