• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Adj Handlebar & ISCI Handbrake

Will need to make a call to ask and also see about getting his short reach lever. My wife really likes the adj. handlebar. We were at the DC motorcycle show and she tried it out. She's short and has to move off the seat to make sharp turns. I'm the one that loves the hand brake so I can keep motorcycle skills in tact when I switch to my Goldwing or Valkyrie. Although the Goldwing has not seen a lot of miles since we got the RT.

Update On Adj Handlebar from ISCI

Called ISCI and they don't yet have an answer about installing the current RT handbrake on the adjustable handlebars. They are currnetly working on the ST Handbrake design which has priority over designing the the Handbrake for the Adj handlebar and said they should know something within the next 2 weeks on the Adj. Handlebar question. Will do a folllow-up and post update.

In the meatime, I did order the new short reach hand lever and will let everyone know what I think when it arrives.

Went to my dealer for service and updates and could not resist buying the chrome adjustable handlebar. Everything looked like it would work with the ISCI handbrake and it did with no problem. Dealer installed for 2 shop hours and when i got home I Used my Dremel to cut out around ISCi mounting blocks for both the handbrake and ball mount for the bottom wire covers. These covers are only 1/2 the size on the original covers.

Really like the ability to adjust the grips for a good feel. My wife took a short spin and said she does not have to come off the seat now for a sharp turn. I now have approval to spend the money. Haha

Currently out of town on business. Will post pictures next week. Also installed GPS lock and had to add 1/4 inch spacer to clear handle bar when in lowest position. Did not want to scratch the chrome. Will include in pictures.

YES  It fits fine. Installation is exactly as described in the ISCI instructions. I suggest you go to their web page and print a set with color images as the black & white supplied with the kit is about useless. :dontknow: The only thing you have to do additional is cut the ISCI supplied bottom cover to the shorter length required for the adjustable handlebars. I used the one that came with the adjustable handlebars as a guide to determine where to cut it. Then you will need to poke a hole through the rubber skirt that goes around the base of the new bars to run the new hydraulic brake line through.

No pictures here of the installation in process, but the installed hardware can be found by clicking on 'my mod' link below in my signature block.

Does anyone know if the ISCI handbrake will work with the new adjustable handlebar?

I believe it does. I just receive the adjustable handlebars. I haven't installed them yet but I have taken everything out of the package for examination.

I have the ISCI Accessory mount kits with ram balls on both sides of my 2012 standard handlebars.

The hook up for these are the same on both handlebars. The difference is the length of the black plastic rear cover with the hole for the different adapter to stick through. The length is about half as long. either the old back cover has to be cut shorter or the new back cover has to have a whole cut through it.

I think the same will apply to the hand brake.
