New 2015 Spyder RT-SE6 rider

I purchased the Can-Am RT-S this weekend and have to say it was/is a change from my two wheels. I actually purchased it for my wife as she will not ride the V-Star. I have read through the manual and even emailed brp about the audio controls for the passenger. The channel changing works fine, what we are confused about is the volume control and the use of head phones. Where do you plug headphones in at?

To the best of my knowledge unless there is a plug buried under the Tupperware on one of the wire harnesses the only way to use headphones to listen to the audio system is via a bluetooth dongle and helmet headset. OTOH, I may be all wet.

I think you are correct Jay, I've never heard of anyone being able to plug in unless they have CBs. I'd suggest going to bluetooth communications in your helmet instead.

I saw where you can add a CB. I even emailed Can Am and they told me to read the manual. The controls will allow the passenger to change the channel. How would one hook blue tooth up? The bike doesnt have BT onboard? Trying to make sense of it before we take a long ride for her comfort.

Yes, Ann, I agree on the CB. That's the only place I've seen reference to a direct headset plug in but I believe that's because if one wants a CB capability they have to add a separate wire harness.

We have a 2014 RT-S also, but we do have a CB. If you have a 7 pin plug on your helmet then you will have to get a CB harness installed by BRP. They will install all necessary plugs and ports. For the driver there will be a plug between frunk latch and ride control. For the passenger there will be a plug on the left (sitting on Spyder) side by the hand grip. This is where you will plug in.
