• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2015 Spyder RT SE6 1330 cc engine with 700 miles. Can BRP cancel warranty for using Amsoil 10w40 or Mobil 10w40 synthetic motorcycle oil. I live in South Texas and the temperature rarely goes to freezing 32 degrees F.?
:f_spider:

Mobil 1 is now available in 5-40. It's not MA rated butt, should be fine also. Tom :spyder:

I'm NOT saying that another discussion about oils isn't a good thing... :D
But pretty near every combination of brands, viscosities, and ratings have been discussed at length in here since 2007...
The Search engine is your friend...

But I'll play... :roflblack:

Why do you want to use an oil other than the one that BRP puts in the bikes? No manufacturer will knowingly put an oil on the market, if it's going to hurt their engines. The warranty costs, and loss of customers would put them out of business. nojoke
(IMHO)

If you have the 998 Twin you should use a oil with the highest JASO Rating you can- Mobil 1 is Jaso 1- Castrol RS 4T is Jaso 2?
Higher is better. Do research and decide?nojoke
