• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. NEW 2014 RT ????

I'm seriously thinking of trading my 2012 RT A/C for a new 2014 RT. But I'm probably looking at a $5000 hit in the wallet. Hoping that a dealer will have some mercy on me. Wish me luck and lots of it or talk me out of it.

I think the 2012 RT was the best year for the 998cc Rotax. If and when buyers realize that you should get top dollar for it.

As far as trading up for a 2014 I would say you won't be disappointed. I've been riding the prototype on and off for over 2 years now and I can't tell you how happy and excited I am with this upgrade. This motor is the motor that I wish they could have put in the RT from the start. It's smooth, it's powerful, it has a 200+ mile range on a tank of fuel and there are NO heat issues. I love this version of the RT and to me it's a keeper, one that you should be able to put well over 100,000 miles on without and major issues. :doorag:

Now if mine would just get here so I could get started on those 100,000 miles!

Sir you are considered to be "DA MAN" when it comes to the spyder and I respect your in put. So I am going to go for it.
Thanks

Butch

From what I understand the 2014 has been in development for many years, I am sure Lamont can say for sure, and it has the experience behind of all the RTs to date so I expect less problems that the old models had. We the only test monkeys that actually paid to help with research, lol.

Well I wish I would have known this before I bought mine, but I have it now and will deal with it. Not having alot of problems yet. The weather is nice now for riding. We'll see what the summer brings.

Your assessment...always works for me..
