• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My name is Robb, I got the 2010 RT for my father (linked below). He says the engine light came on. I’m taking it to service in July, but can anyone give me need to know stuff to prevent anything else or general checking for stuff, it will be much appreciated. Dad's disabled rode out of town, wanna make sure.

Check Engine Lights can be a catch all for anything/everything that doesn't have a specific/immediate STOP RIDING need, including transient events that aren't necessarily anything to worry about at all. 😏

So if you don't have any other codes, and the Check Engine Light is no longer showing, you're most likely good to go without any need to worry more. (y)

Ride More, Worry Less! ;)

Did you get the original owners manual with it? If so, one of you should spend a lot of time reading it. Also, one of you should spend time reading the thread on Do's and Do Not's for new Spyder riders (see the link below), especially the early posts that apply to older V-Twin motor, which is what you have in that 2010 RT.

If you didn't get the owners manual, you can access it online on the BRP site.
