• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New 2 GoPro - Where to mount?

Got a new GoPro Silver recently. Played with only slightly. Mounted it to my helmet but the resulting video showed all my head turning to check traffic, which I do as a safe rider which made the video slightly disorienting.

So to all who have GoPro or similar device - I want to capture the experience of riding on some of my favorite roads. Where to mount on a 2014 Spyder RT S?

My current favorite is the BRP medallion in the middle of the Frunk hood. This would obscure the medallion but I am less than worried about that aesthetically - and would give a good level center viewpoint. Any other suggestions? Top of one of the mirrors was recommended by one person. Don't want to do behind windshield to avoid catching glare.

Then also, any recommended iPhone apps or software to use with it? Any suggestions gladly received.
Thanks...

mount

I just mounted my camera, go to home depot an get some 3m command large refill strips. I mounted mine on the dash behind the windshield, went for a ride yesterday an got great video an no vibrasion.

One thing I've learned with my GoPro career is if you have the camera stationary for any length of time, you will put your audience to sleep. Gets boring pretty fast if they weren't there.

Believe me, I've put more people to sleep than Sleepys! :D I like the helmet mount in two positions, forward & believe it or not backwards. Can edit back and forth between views. It's neat if you have people behind you.

A friend of mine was brutally honest and said too long, I wasn't there and it's hard to stay engaged. I'm still working on that.

Editing is huge as far as making your clips watchable. I use GoPro 2.0 and I think that they may have upgraded it since I started.

Now I don't want to sound like I've been there and mastered it. Got a long way and lots to learn but just my thoughts on it.

Not to change the subject, but how is that new camper working out?

So far so good! The 1330 pulls it like it's not there and braking seems just fine also. Haven't had a chance to sleep in it yet but I'm thinking home run here!

Did they mail you your sales commission yet? :D I plan on making a camping movie with my GoPro so still on subject. ;)

Yep. The GoPro and its resulting videos is the modern day version of the old 8mm home movies!
