• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need your help to make the Spyder's "Build Your Own" tool better!

Hi everyone,

Our digital team is working to improve the "Build Your Own" experience for Can-Am Spyder, and it would be helpful to us to get your feedback about your experience when building a Spyder using the tool. If you'd like to participate, simply go ahead and Build Your Can-Am Spyder (USA or Canada) (ignore any pop-up surveys directly on the site and anything like that), and then answer this short questionnaire.

Thanks for your help!

Done . . .
On the first page of the "Build Your Own" site, where you select which package, there should be a thumbnail popup description of each package if you hover over each of the choices, or the information "i" with a short comparison, as you have at the "Transmission" choice.

When you select an option (like a seat), "Add to Vehicle" and "Buy it Now" are very visible, but the "X" to get out of that screen and back to the choices (which would be what you'd want if, after reading the description, you decided you didn't want that option) is not very obvious. Do away with the very subdued "X" and add a "return to choices" button.

Would like to have been able to see more of the available options on the RT, such as wheels and seats. Also a 360deg view of the completed bike would have been better.

Done, but the last question will be a bit misleading. The device that you are using now may not be your preferred device. I happen to have my laptop open, at the moment, but a tablet would be my preferred device.

Done.

I missed having a total price visible while selecting options.

I'd also like some descriptions of the options I'm selecting. It might help sell them if a buyer has an idea why it would be a good thing, or has info to differentiate one from another.

For a RT-S I would like to see a delete option on some standard parts. Like the hideous black wheels and the floor boards. I like the standard wheels. I would like to see a credit on the deleated parts as well.
On the test ride I took on the 2014 RT, I had a problem operating the brakes. I'm to use to pivoting my foot on the foot peg to get the right feel in braking. With the test ride, I had to lift my leg to operate the brakes and I would lurch forward with my upper body. Whoa nelly!

My thoughts exactly! Another thing on the options, I initially selected a comfort seat then had a hard time figuring out how to also select the backrest. It looked to me at first like I could only select one option from each category.

Thank you!

Hi all,

We've gotten some excellent feedback from you - we'll keep the survey open for a couple more days and then share all this with the web gurus.

Thanks again! :doorag:

Nice System--only one criticism

When accessories become 'discontinued,' they should be pulled from the site. I'm referring to the Route '66 windshield for the F3 here.
Otherwise, enjoyed using the site (or I wouldn't have built about 25 F3's while waiting for mine.) ;)
Thanks for asking for the input.

Sorry..!!

but this feature is not available on mobile devices...this is where I live so am not much help...good luck I know those that can will...:banghead::banghead:
