• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need your help planning the Lamonster BBQ

Encourager Skills Abound...

I am soooo not mechanical....soooo not musical.....might be able to cook a hot dog (if you like it on the well done side!!)....so guess my role at the BBQ will be what my "talent" is...cheerleader...Go Go Go Wow I am so impressed....whew can't imagine how you learn all that stuff!!!! Those kind of "things"....:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: Oh yea and I do have the ability to TALK!!!

I would like to see the Lamonster BBQ toward the end of September. Starting to cool down a bit and maybe see a little fall colors. More than willing to bring tools and help anyway I can. What are the motels/hotels like in the area? Can't wait. Thanks for wanting to continue the "tradition.":clap:

There is certainly no apology necessary! I was just tossing in another thought to be considered. I'd pack up some snow in dry ice and send it to ya, but it really isn't the same unless you have enough to have to shovel. :D

Scotty, maybe just send him enough to make a snow ball. At least he could start to get an understanding of the fun part of snow!

WE will be there to help out as much as possible. I would love to see in Midd-Septmeber sometime, the weather then would be Fantastic.

Late sept or Oct will be great. The temps will be cooling off. Will help with anything that needs to be done. Set the date so I can book a motel room.

WOOHOO, dont forget your monster energy drinks . Those were some long days.

In my earlier life when my toy’s were Corvettes the club I was with ( Mid Atlantic Chapter / National Corvette Restores Society (NCRS) ) held a three day event every Labor day weekend in Cumberland, MD at one of our members farm.

The format was simple,

Friday: people started arriving early afternoon and we had crabs & beer that evening and casual socializing.

Saturday: Tech sessions, car judging, evening picnic and casual socializing.

Sunday: Road tour and more casual socializing.
This was the one “can’t miss” club event of the year.
I’m suggesting Labor Day weekend but there is a something to be said about late September early October with cooler temps. I'm new to this :f_spider: thing but whatever dates you pick I will be there...

Got the kitchen pass to attend the BBQ. Looking forward to meeting up with old friends and making new ones.

Love the idea of wrenching! Bringing my zip-ties and the hammer.

Dates don't matter to us. We'll attend whatever days we're able to (Thursday and Friday might not work, too early to tell), but we won't miss the weekend stuff.

I'm in as long as you set a date early.

- I can change the oil on an RS blind folded
- I can swap out shocks
- Change plugs
- Install some options
- Pull frunks and grease joints
- Install juice boxes

I assume either you will have supplies there for sale so people don't have to bring their own supplies for things like oil changes, etc. Baja Ron to the rescue?

Anything else would require me to trailer the spyder in order to have space for other stuff.

Would love to learn how to check belt tension *Properly or actually see a rear wheel removed and reinstalled.

We could also do a spyder wash with a donation bucket and pick a local charity to donate the proceeds to... or something of the sort.

Doc better have his Silver Dream there with the new powerplant by then!

BBQ

Have it anytime you want..I'll be there. I would prefer the end of September or early October.
Leaves should be changing then.

Love the :spyder2: wash idea. May I suggest Patriot Rovers as the charity. www.patriotrovers.org

Dates

Us mid northerners ( Ohio ) tend to get some cold weather off and on in early October , especially in the mornings. Headed to Tenn this last October and nearly froze ( 38 when we left at 0730 ) plumb to death until temps warmed up around noon. Once we got to Tenn the temps were great and great all the way home . Sept. sometime would seem excellent for our area .Course I could just leave the wife at home and then I wouldn't have to worry about cold....LOL
