Have a new 2017 F-3 Limited with trailer hitch and plug. F-3 has 4 wire square plug, my trailer is a five wire Aluma trailer. How do I convert from 4 wire to 5 wire?, HELP:sour:

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So first is your trailer truly a 5 wire? Amber turn signal lights. If so you have a couple options.
1. Rewire your trailer to 4 wire. You do that by abandoning the amber turn signal lights. Splitting the brake lights into left and right circuits. That will become combined brake/left turn and brake/right turn lights.
2. You can purchase a 2 to 3 converter. That will split the combined brake/turn wires from into separate brake, turn signal wires. Then either wire that into your trailer or custom build an adapter to go between you Spyder and trailer.
