• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think he needs to go the other way, 4 pin out of the RT not the trailer.

thanks, i'll ask him.

another question.........why on gods green earth did they put the rear tire valve stem on the left side? it would be SO much easier to have it on the right, out of the way of all that belt stuff?

...Because they've got sense of humor mixed with a bit of a mean streak??? :D

It DOES seem as if there's more room to throw things and cuss under the right side by all of the braking hardware...

thanks, i'll ask him.

RT Trailer Plug

Its fairly easy to make a RT trailer plug. You can order the Amphenol plug from Digikey don't for get the pins. And don't do what i did i forgot to order the strain relief. I do not have the part number for that you might want to call them.

Here are the part numbers:
digikey part number 889-1060-ND Amphenol part number is AHD-16-9-96S
pins part number is 889-1051-1-ND Amphenol part number is AT62-14-0122

You can find the wiring for the plug on spyderlovers.

BRP Always went their own way. You know the old saying; The right way , The wrong way,
And my [brp] way.:gaah:

Answered the PM. Contact me if you need additional help.

The easiest way on a 5-wire trailer (separate turn signals) is to buy the BRP Trailer Tongue Harness P/N 710002029, and wire it in place of your existing trailer connector. You can also use it to build an adapter. Alternatively, you could buy the Deutsch connector and pins, and rewire the trailer connector or build an adapter. For a 4-wire trailer (combined brakelights/turn signals), the easiest way is to add separate turn signals, then rewire the connector or make an adapter.

Go to auto zone. They have the adapter for $14.99. That is what I paid for the one I put on mine.
:hun: There is no 9-pin Deutsch connector adapter available on the market that I know of. A picture, part number, and details would be helpful if you found one.

This helps alot.
Thanks to another Spyderlover for pointing it out.

tail light converter

The tail light converter part # 74209 $14.99 that you need. Converters five wires to four so you can have brake lights and turn signals. Without it all you have is turn signals because the brake light and stop lights are seperate. It is about the size of a pack of cigarettes but not as thick. Good luck:yes:
