• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

need some help

This time they did a really good job on the belt adjustment happy with that. I think I just need not to go back to the dealer the warranty will be up in August and pm bajaron for his sway bar kit..

last post on this

Finally had good enough weather today to get the spyder up to work and find out the noise in the front end! When I drop it off at the dealer December 23 I told them the noise was from the left front sway bar end link. After getting it back and waiting almost a week before anyone at the dealer would talk to me the service manager who really does not like me got to talk. He told me they checked the link and it was a little lose and he thinks its two nuts were the inner tie rods bolt on...well glad to say the noise was the upper sway bar link bolt...very lose. Easy cheap link and did not have to give it back to the dealer for them to "get to it when they get to it" :2thumbs: love my spyder and so glad its back and running great

For some reason; that upper mount seems to like to loosen up and scare folks...

Mine got diagnosed with that last April at SpyderFest, and Rattigan_Roger crawled up under the bike and tightened it up for me!

Once I replaced my end-links; I got a chance to see exactly how things hook together under there, and it's worth being aware of that spot on the bikes.

very easy fix

It was a very easy fix just a couple 13mm wrenches. Sad that it spent so long at the dealer and they just could not find it. The upper bolt was very lose you could see the link moving up and down by rocking it side to side. So on that just needs to warm up out so I can put some miles on it.:D:thumbup:

If the bolt moves up and down with the link, tightening should be sufficient, but if the nut is relatively snug, and the bolt does not move, the link is faulty and should be replaced. These links should not have any play end-to-end.

just lose nut

The nut and bolt they use to fasten the link was lose letting it move and giving me the noise. The link was not moving separate from the nut and bolt. Easy fix and sad thing the dealer said they checked and adjusted it.....I think they just adjusted the lower nut. It makes no noise and was a great 40 mile ryde home from work.
