• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I need the wiring guru's on the forum to help me out if they can.

I am wiring in a LED light to the front of my wife's Ryker and want to use the bikes existing circuitry to activate the light, thus eliminating another thing (the switch) from the bars.

Any help would be appreciated.

Depending on the current draw of the light(s) you are adding, there are several alternatives. I list a few here:

1. As others have stated, add a relay. This method will require that you tap into a switched 12v connection to trigger the realy. I used the USB + terminal. You can also use the auxiliary 12v connector under the left body panel to trigger the relay. The relay method is imho the most time consuming method.

2. Simply connect directly to the auxiliary 12v connector located under the left body panel. Singmods sells a nice harness for $13.00 ( https://www.slingmods.com/canam-ryker-12v-accessory-power-harness?vehicle=4 ). I have not researched the aux 12v connector...I suspect it is probably fused, but have no idea how much draw it can support. This method imho would be the simplest.

3. Use a DRL control module, such as: https://www.amazon.com/iJDMTOY-Dayt...ords=drl+control+module&qid=1629638801&sr=8-4 (I have used two of these on cars, one for over 5 years, without problems). I would suggest adding a fuse on the load side.

4. Other method(s) as may be suggested.

I have a relay and wiring harness, I just was wondering where to tap to trigger the lights when the bike turns over.

Looks like that SlingMods harness is the ticket I need!

I appreciate the help!

This is a piggy back 1/4" spade connector (e.g., Autozone) attached to the +12v side of the USB charging port. I use this to trigger my relay simply because I did not want to commit the AUX 12v connector to my DRL.

I was looking into wiring as well. Thanks for that tip!

Looking at my Operator's Guide (2021), the only ACC (accessory) I see is F3, and is shared with the USB, and uses a 5 amp fuse.
