• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have an 09 gs SM5 which I bought used, it already had a k&n filter installed.
now I'm wanting to add an exhaust but want to avoid adding a fuel management device :lecturef_smilie:
What do y'all suggest :dontknow:, wanting something a little more beefier than stock but not annoying :banghead:

The info I have gained from this forum is priceless, thx in advance :chat:

go for it

put a pipe on it and see how it does. you can always put a stock paper air filter back in if it seems to be running lean. i think the hmf pipe is by far the best bang for the buck, at under 300.

Choices choises..!!

Can't speak for the many pipes out there when it come to spyders, but I have the Hindle exhaust with the JT's Machine Shop air filter system and the machine is running great. Before changing the air system I had the K&N filter in the stock box and it ran great just a tad less peppy...hope you get more info to help you out...:ohyea:

I have a HMF on my 2013 and love it! It is by far the best bang for the buck and it doesn't need anything to make it work.

I highly recommend the Two Brothers slip-on single exhaust with the quiet core. It sounds unbelievable and will not make you deaf. Also if you can afford it a fuel tuner like the Power Commander 5 will make it run so much better and take care of any popping or lean issues. Mine runs and sounds so good with this setup, I am extremely happy with it.

This is just like the, "Blondes, versus Brunettes, versus Redheads" question...
Everybody knows that the only answer; is "YES!" :D :2thumbs:
Happy Hunting!

What setup do u have?
I also have a k&n filter and trying to avoid the fuel controller
Would i get the popping noise or harm the engine? :read:

It's in my Sig.........................runs great; very tunable! I've got the quietest tip in the pipe, and it's still borderline from a social responsibility point.

I also have the Two Brother slip-on. Great pipe, easy install. I also run a K&N filter and no juice box and I don't have the popping prob some owners experience.
If you go with the 2 Bros pipe, you'll want the add-on PowerTip sound suppressor to quiet it down, otherwise you WILL wake the neighbors!

Got the Two Brothers Slip On also. I have the Juice Box Fuel management system so I can't say what it runs like without it. I love the ROARING sound with no suppressor because I wanted it to rock and roll. Not particularly worried about "Social Responsibility" as bikes scream around my area all the time. My Club Brothers love my Spyder and it's sound. I get a lot of love from the Harley crowd.:doorag:

Awesome advice, Really appreciate it!
Does two brothers also make that tip?

Yes. I used a two brothers P1x tip. It quiets it a little. But I still had popping... So I bought the juicebox, all better now.
