• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

trying to wire up trailer wiring for a 08 gs sm5, using a hopkins 5-4 convertor and having issues with the brake light feed at trailer end ( have triple play ) signals, running lamp circuit are fine but the brake lamp circuit does not work. Anyone else have the same issue or can offer some thought on this. Everything else is good, powere hooked up correct etc, just no brake lamp circuit. Thanks.

I tied my converter in upstream of the triple play, but you have to be sure to hook to the power side of the circuit. Some of the Spyders had the wiring reversed at the lights.

If you're running the Triple - play -- I'm not sure you need to use a converter at all as the triple play will send running light and turn signal info to each rear trailer light. Should be able to just tap in to each side of the triple play just like the rear turn signals are.

Be sure to document your process and share with the rest of us. I have the Hopkins ready to install myself and also use triple play.

Now I'm concerned?

Correct. If you hook up the trailer wiring after the Triple Play connections, no converter is required. I wired the "running" lights wiring to the running light wire that comes off the Triple-Play. The left and right side wires are tapped into the hot wire leading to each Spyder turn signal.

I wired my Spyder this way for my trailer (flat-four) and it works fine - over 5,000 miles so far.

I also changed all my trailer bulbs to LEDs because the turn signals blinked really fast when I had a mix of LED and incandescent bulbs.
