There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I was out on a ride and opened the frunk to get helmet. Now the frunk will not latch shut.

Thanks in advance for any help.

i was having the same problem, now they ordered me a new key switch, first, push your key in and out of the switch and turn it mack and forth till you hear a click that will lock the frunk, second, contact your dealer and let them look up your vin number to see if your bike is due to have the key switch replaced under warranty, mine was

Jiggle the key

Happened to me on my '14.......put the key back in the ignition switch and have the frunk open. Jiggle the key but Don't turn the key to the on position at all (shake the key right to left without turning is the best way I can describe it) When jiggling the key you should hear the latch click. Close the funk and the latch will hold.

Check your VIN # and then call the dealer and get your ignition replaced under warranty. My dealer said he fixed it at first without replacing it, but then the ignition fell apart shortly afterward (thankfully while it was at the shop).

Hope this helps you.

The issue is now well known on the 2014. Also happened to me. You can play jiggle, jiggle with the key and ignition switch. That will work eventually.

It is a warranty issue. Your dealer should replace the ignition switch and perhaps the cable for free--under warranty.

I checked with BRP AND MY bike is not on the recall list for this problem.

Well, technically it is not a recall, but a TSB (tech service bulletin). My Spyder (assembled in April purchased in May) wasn't on the TSB list either, but the latch did not operate properly and was replaced under warranty.

If your latch still isn't working properly, you'll have to take it to the dealer and let them work it out with BRP. It took about a week to get the parts in and get them replaced. No problems at all since then.

Fixed the problem. The latch mechanism had slipped down so that it would not latch. I loss end the two bolts holding it and used a screwdriver to hold the latch up while I tightened the bolts. Frunk latches great now.

Hi David;

As of today I have the same problem. I have a 2012 RT-S.
When I noted that the frunk would not close, I removed the lock bar from the lid and push it into the latch simulating the lid closing.
The bar does not push the latch far enough down to trigger the latch. However if I push the latch down with my finger it latches.

How did you adjust the latch? Any thing needing to be removed to adjust?

Thanks.

Craig

Never mind. I figured it out.
Had to remove the 2 triangle shaped panels. Loosen the 2 bolts and then lift the latch and tighten the bolts. Replace the 2 triangles and your done.

That was easy.
