Need an Over the Road Carrier

I am thinking about purchasing a used Spyder but I would need it shipped to me in my state. Any recommendations? I have never had a bike shipped before. What kind of questions should I ask the carrier? Who should I avoid? Thanks ahead of time for all the replies. I greatly appreciate the wisdom that can be found on this forum. This will be my first Spyder but my third bike over all. Thanks again for the help.

Depending on where you live and where the bike is, lots of folks would ride it to ya for expenses. There are lots of shooing co, you'll get plenty of info from here

Are you sure what model you want ? RS, ST. RT ? It mightbe a idea to go visist a dealer or two, even if overnight/motel to find things out

This is how I bought my RTS - shipped from NH to OR... USHIP is a good choice, but if you check on E-bay, there are a dozen good ones.

Have the bike taken to a local dealer, and pay to have it checked out, and the report sent to you. Tell the seller that he is to fix any problem, or pay for the report & you walk. Pay to have the dealer act as the shipping point - he will make sure the bike is ready to ship, and has the knowledge to get it on the truck.

All of this should cost you around $1,000, including the shipping, and worth every dime.
