There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. NBV-FBV...Say what?

Did my first real mod today on the RTS 1330.

I've had this idea in my head for some time now and after reading the a guy that bought my NBV highway brackets didn't feel like they went forward enough for him being 6' 4" I decided to go ahead and fab up what I was thinking about and it cam out better than expected. The install is super easy I just need to decide what the best production method is to keep the cost down and still look good. I have several ideas but need to talk with my guy next week and come up with a plan and cost, then it will be off to production. You long legged guys will love them and you can angle them back for short legs too. :doorag:

Am really looking forward to seeing your new Spyder and what you will be doing and will have done by the time we meet in Daytona.
Wishing you all the very best with your new ride.

I just bought a set of NBV's for my '14. Wish I had known these were coming. I love the look of the brackets but I can't stretch out enough to be comfortable. This looks like just what I need. Any chance you will offer a conversion kit for those of us that already have nbv's?

Looks pretty promising. Now for a good locking device to keep them from moving/vibrating over time? More than just a locknut, I'm guessing.

Almost like you need another bolt in a slotted hole, but that takes away from the looks.

All this saying you don't have me on ignore. :opps:

lol

Glad you announced it now, before I ordered the old ones for my new RTS. May can still use em anyway cause they work GREAT!

I hoping there is a mod kit as I just got mine for my
2014 RT Limited? I am 6'2" and could use this.
See you at Daytona.

I would be interested in a new bracket that would work on my 2011. I love my NBV's but riding the Vulcan has made me wish I could get my legs out a little farther on the RT.

Good luck with another great idea!

Looks good but....

I also wonder how it will remain in position over time with just one nut at the bottom holding it. Needs to have some sort of steps or grooves for different fore & aft postions, maybe a locating pin and a series of small holes around the bolt & nut. Vibration and leg pressure on the pegs would make them move forward over time the way it looks to me.

I have 10's of thousands of miles on my NBV's and have never had one move yet. There is a large surface area when clamped. If you were concerned you could put a star washer between the two brackets, I have not found the need to do so and I have 1000's of the RS and RT brackets out there with the same setup.

Will these new brackets also fit the 2013 RT or just for the 2014 RT?

They will fit on any Spyder with the stock BRP floor boards including 2013. I'll have a complete chrome version for the too for those of you with chrome boards. :doorag:

Do they bolt up to the OEM floorboard? :dontknow:
My reasion for asking: I was concerned that they might affect the ability of the floorobard to pivot, should that need arise...
They look GREAT!!
