• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

National Spyder Club

In short, if you're looking for a paid membership with dues and political officers then this is not the club for you. If your looking for a place where SpyderLovers can get together and chat about their Spyders and share information with each other along with organizing group events and rides then you're in the right place

:agree:

This is a great organization just as it is currently structured. Lamont does a great job of administering the website. People are more than eager to help with information. Small groups of SpyderLovers are starting to get together on a regular basis for rydes. Lamont has seen that we have shirts and patches available.
I know that this place is better than any organized club - it is a family. I have never felt closer to a group than I do with the people on SpyderLovers. They always come to your aid.
I work on a priciple doon't fix it if it ain't broke and SpyderLovers is definitely not broke. :2thumbs: :firstplace:

:2thumbs: I agree!

I pay my dues to HOG. For the prices of dues I get a magazine with propaganda advertizing, a few articles of interest and a lot of bias in the letters. My better half, SpyderDeb, got me involved with this unique machine and this website. Someone mentioned in another thread about the civility of the group was due in no small part to age/maturity of the members. I beg to differ: just go to www.hdforums.com and experience the love and respect of a similar age group - but hang on to your hat....

This group is successful because of this remarkably enabling website and the passion of its founder, Lamonster. People joined this site because they want to be here and have a part in something new and unique. People have shared their collective wealth of lifetimes of knowledge and insight on many topics, including learning about this new machine.

The club is already formed. This can be, and is for us, a great place to establish contacts and plan that next ride.

Hey, Pauly1

Thanks for a mature and thoughtful response. At this point--since you did all the work--I get to click on the little smiley...:agree:

Now, CT friends, regarding foil...

...Here's a brief on an MIT experiment on tinfoil hats. Really. The upshot was:

"...there is some controversy on the benefit of using [a tinfoil hat].
Using a $250,000 network analyser, we find that although on average all helmets attenuate invasive radio frequencies in either directions (either emanating from an outside source, or emanating from the cranium of the subject), certain frequencies are in fact greatly amplified. These amplified frequencies coincide with radio bands reserved for government use according to the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). Statistical evidence suggests the use of helmets may in fact enhance the government’s invasive abilities. We speculate that the government may in fact have started the helmet craze for this reason."
