• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Spyder is back. Hard for me to believe.

Well after 3 months and 3 weeks to the day, the spyder dealership called me to say my spyder has finally been fixed. Have Mercy! J
You know, I’ve missed being a rock star but more than that, what I had forgotten since March 24th was that when I get out and ride on 2 or 3 wheels, I am at peace. I hit the country roads, look up at that beautiful sky and go WoW! It was absolutely gorgeous this evening. (Hot!) but gorgeous.
I am closer to God when I am on my machine. I am blessed.
I’m not sure if I will keep this machine or not but I’ll be on the road riding something that’s for sure. Safe riding everybody.

Glad to hear it. Over 3 months is a bit on the rediculous side. Don't remember what the issue was but I'm guessing DPS.

Enjoy it while you can! There really isn't anything else like it.

i have 21 visits to dealer for warranty repairs and 2 more to go(waiting on dps and swing arm or new rear bracket) and i am guessing it's been more than what i would like to pay if i did not have warranty.

Glad to hear your back :yes:Mines back also, far from correct, but at least I can drive her now.

Friday, I'll take her to another shop to see if they can figure out how to correct her other problems, but for now, I'm enjoy'n my Mydnyte rydes again

Totally off topic but do you have a carrier or harness that allows your dog to ride with you or is your avatar just a picture of your dog sitting on your Spyder?

:lecturef_smilie:Totally ridiculous to wait almost 4 months for a repair to anything regardless of back-ordered parts or what ever. I am amazed how can they justify that kind of wait . In Canada that would almost be the whole riding season.:lecturef_smilie:

4 Months!!! What was the problem? Mine is in (steering) and I'm watching the summer tick by....

What the heck? :)

Hey BJT,
Not sure how big your dog is but I have a 10lb miniture Daschund that I bought a dog back-pack for. One to carry her in. It hangs over my shoulders like a back pack and/or you can use the waist strap or both. It is entirely enclosed but has quite a bit of mesh for easy breathing etc. She rides in it comfortably. Got it at my local pet store. Think I paid around $40 bucks for it. I actually want to carry her in it but have it facing forward in front of me instead of on my back by using my waist strap. Haven't tried that out yet though.

I thought about something like that but the ones at our pet stores are just a bit too small for my dog.

:D I had to look at their profile pic to verify that it was a real dog. The avatar photo with the dog wearing doggles does make you question wether it's a real dog or not. :D

I am very happy for you. I cannot believe how long you've been waiting. By that time i would have asked for my money back!

I hope my does not take that long.

Come on guys, get a grip on reality,, 3 months to get a bike fixed ! This is not a shuttle taking some guys up to the space station.
Not sure what is going on with BRP, read that one of you guys has been in for over twenty times, not on. I have had the DPS done and paid by myself because I do not have a dealer or backup. What the hell could I do if I had twenty problems, nothing, I would be in deep sh**.
Glad to see that problems are being addressed but BRP really needs to strip this thing out and get the problems sorted out.
I am on a quarter of the miles I would normally do because I am reluctant to take the bike on a long trip. I was passing a motorbike dealership today, Yamaha in fact and some of those bikes looked good because they have no issues,, but stuck with the spyder..
I hope all you guys get driving soon, or at least have other bikes to drive while yours is in the shop. Life moves along too fast not to be on the road enjoying the ride.
Good luck to all of you.:dontknow:
