• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Got my registration renewal in the mail yesterday. Compulsory medical insurance is part of it.

Registration: $42.50
Insurance contribution: $468.60
Tax on this insurance: $42.18
Administrative fee: $4.25

Grand total for yearly registration: $557.53

The above is just to ride it out of your driveway.

Private insurance to cover the Spyder is another $270.

Annual drivers' licence fee is almost $200

Grand total of $1027 before any riding & we only get 7 months of riding weather, 2 of which are miserable. Grrrr !

I think some other provinces charge even more :banghead:

Rant over.

So we're at about $452.00

Won't tell..!!

Don't want to say cause just knowing we ryde 12 mo's out of the year makes any price cheap. How about storing your spyder stateside with US rates and visit Canada...!! :roflblack:

Pay now or pay latter.

Sounds like you're paying now. If we are left with anything they get it in inheritance tax.

One things for sure. Doesn't seem to matter where we live.
They're going to get it one way or the other nojoke

:doorag:

:opps::opps: my bad on govt. owned insurance for vehicles. They do have govt. health insurance though?????

Your not all wrong several provinces (you call them states) do have goverment insurance just not Ontario. Goverment Insurance really doesn't seem to save a ton to be honest, I mean what's the chances that the goverment could possibly run something and actually be efficient? Lol.......:roflblack:

Health Insurance we do have, an open money pit that is bleeding our country dry, slowly but surely.

Ontario has private insurance, not Gov't run. Insurance companies don't like the Spyder.

Did you try Riders Plus, I pay a little over half your wife's rate but of course coverages, age, experience, driving record etc all contribute. Riders Plus does free estimates should at least make sure your not getting screwed over? The fact it was a Spyder had little impact on the rate, of course replacement cost is high but so are fully loaded Goldwings and what not?

Good Luck though thats a bucket load of cash your wife has to hand over?
