• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Spyder fixed costs in Quebec

Got my registration renewal in the mail yesterday. Compulsory medical insurance is part of it.

Registration: $42.50
Insurance contribution: $468.60
Tax on this insurance: $42.18
Administrative fee: $4.25

Grand total for yearly registration: $557.53

The above is just to ride it out of your driveway.

Private insurance to cover the Spyder is another $270.

Annual drivers' licence fee is almost $200

Grand total of $1027 before any riding & we only get 7 months of riding weather, 2 of which are miserable. Grrrr !

I think some other provinces charge even more :banghead:

Rant over.
This is pretty well exactly what I pay! Thought the insurance was pretty decent, but the rest hurts!:yikes:

Your not all wrong several provinces (you call them states) do have goverment insurance just not Ontario. Goverment Insurance really doesn't seem to save a ton to be honest, I mean what's the chances that the goverment could possibly run something and actually be efficient? Lol.......:roflblack:

Health Insurance we do have, an open money pit that is bleeding our country dry, slowly but surely.
Not to get too political here but I envy you and your government run insurance. Here in the states we pay through the nose for our health insurance and God help you if you have a pre-existing condition. Thankfully, my only pre-existing condition is I'm crazy as a loon! And I have a real bad case of Spyderitis!

For sure, our real challenge is how in the heck are we going to afford to keep paying for it? It is something our country puts a "must have" priority on but man we keep losing good paying jobs (manufacturing) replacing them with low paying retail jobs. No make no money no pay the taxes? Hmm then what?

Actually what the heck was this thread about, I think we got off track a little...............sorry:roflblack:
