• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Seat Issues ... Anyone else with same issue?

I have an issue with the seat cutting into my back and causing discomfort. I have had quite a few bike seats in my lifetime, the best was the Russell on my Honda ST1300 (I miss that bike but 2 wheels I cant do anymore). This is the first stock seat, however, that causes me this issue. I cant tell if it is too short, to close to the handlebars, whatever ... I know I need to do something ... I wonder if a simple fix like a Utopia backrest pushing me more upright would help or a different seat. I just don't know which way to go, so I am asking if anyone had issues like mine and how they chose to resolve it.

I am 5-9, with a 29" inseam ...

Thanks for your help in advance.

i installed a utopia backrest on my 2011 rts. with it i tend to put pressure on the backrest which reduces downward pressure on the seat: result: much more comfort on a long ride. i am over 6 feet and also needed seal floor boards... to stretch out.

If a Russell satisfied you before, I'd consider it again. Motorcycle Dave does good work, though, and that may another good option. Seats are a crap shoot, and when the stock seat causes serious problems your best bet is a custom seat like either of these...IMO.
