• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My rainy day teardown foglight swap for vents and key item locations!

I purchased a set of the cowl vents and decided to try them to help with the "hot Tupperware" issue. To get the fog lights out and swap in the vents you need to remove the whole front end. I'm surprised as removing this is stupid simple! There is only 8 bolts that hold that whole thing on and some wiring connectors. With the frunk removed I decided to click some pics to show everybody where key things are located. I found the wiring connector if you add the accessory plug in the frunk. Somebody was asking where the stock horn goes, found it! Swapping shocks would be killer easy. Bet it wouldn't get hot running with all this bodywork removed. Anyway I removed the fog lights and installed the vents (glad he sent me the clips to thanks bullant12) I think the vent look nicer than the lights, black and yellow combo have made me name it the "Yellow Jacket". Still pouring rain so will have to wait to see if this helps at all, if not I may put the lights back in.

Nice Project! Makes you think BRP should have kept those openings for ventilation instead of those impressive but worthless foglights!

foglights

I admit the vents look nice -- but I wouldnt go as far as to say the foglights are useless-- the more light up front the better to be seen!

Now then..!!

there was a post where they installed turbo fans in the fog light holes and ducts to the engine. Said all heat issues were gone. This was a while back before these new problems. Nice project and am sure it will help..congrats..!!

I started with an A/C and added the fogs.
The "vents" I took off mine had no openings, did you cut some in?

These vents had openings in the rear. I thought anout making the openings larger but decided the size they was would keep the air velocity up and hopefully push it to the rear. I was also thinking about ducting them all the way back to just about the gas tank area but the only ducting I could get my hands on was 4 inch, wat too big to fit in the space available. I am curios to see if they help at or not.
