• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My project after Sturgis

As some of you may remember I came home to my favorite tree laying in my driveway. These trees are known for splitting and I had a chain around it for 9 years but the chain broke and down she went.

So this is what I've been working on in my spare time. It is 24' by 24' and will be a nice place to park my truck and get my wifes car out of the weather. It will come in handy at the BBQ too for getting out of the sun. I still need to pour concrete and I have a lot of work to do around the carport but the hard part is done. Miss my tree but this will be nice too.

Looks like a first class picnic pavilion to me!

:agree: It's real nice !!! IMO way better than a tree. Although I did not see a building permit posted in any of the photos. :joke:

Where I live we can't do anything to our houses without going to the city and paying them for a permit. It's quite a racket if you ask me. They are trying to make people pay for a permit to have a garage sale. NO JOKE !!!

I did have the power company come out and check my meter box and when they found this they shut off my power and I had to go to town and get a permit and install a new box and have it inspected before they would turn it back on. They shut me off at 11:00 am and by 2:30 pm I was back online. It would have took me days if I was still back in San Diego. nojoke

Somehow these projects always find a way to get your blood pressure high enought to knock all of the scale off your pipes... :gaah:
It's looking good though! :2thumbs:
Arntu, Be thankful that you're not above the Blue line...:cus:

Sure looks different without the tree. When you're finished building that garage, you can come to my house and fill in the swimming pool and build a garage just like it on top of the pool!

I would love to fill in your pool and if you were closer I would help with the garage too. :doorag:

I think Lamont is a relative of Dr. Who!!

Anyway, you sure are a handy guy!! From building boats to a very nice pavillion, sure do wish we lived closer because I could use some help around my place! Hubby is a "paperwork" kind of guy. That's useful too. But, sometimes being handing with a chainsaw or even just a hammer!!! is a good thing!! My shoulders are toast from all the projects I used to do. Many surgeries later, I'm not so good with a hammer anymore. :-((

Good going!!! Everything looks great!!! Maybe one of these years I will get me to thy BBQ!!!!!

Power box

Whoa! so did you lose a neutral somewhere along the line? Lightning? Glad you replaced that box, permit nonwithstanding!
