• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Greetings all, am here in Kissimmee, FL. visiting the mouse. Went over to Central Florida Power Sports to check on a couple of things, found out I was the first one to order a 2014 RT S with them in Cognac, also checked on the warranty for the 2014 and the rumer that it would be 4 years if got delivered by Jan. 31, 2014. On the warranty they said at this time it was until October 31 but they would keep an eye on it and let me know.

Also said that my 2014 would be in for delivery probably for the end of November, again, they said if earlier they would let me know.

Have a good one all, will be back at the homestead and checking the boards again on Sunday.

Painful..!!

no matter what folks say about having waited so a couple months more don't matter, those last few weeks, days and hours are torture....good luck...!!

:congrats: on the new ryde. The waiting can be cumbersome...and it does drag out as the time gets nearer the due date. 6 months for my 2008 and 4 months for my RT-S premier. I lived through it though. :roflblack:

I ordered a 2014 RTS Limited in Pearl White and if I'm lucky and the stars & moon line up I'll get it end of March, after all it has to come more then 300 miles from the plant .:dontknow:

The end of November is pretty dadgum fast. The earliest I have ever seen is mid December, and that one was with Central Flarda Power Sports in Kissimmee. My 13 came in December 28th 2012, which I thought was pretty fast. I had ordered the Monday following the BRP intro of the 13 models.

Folks, read the fine print on the sale announcement!

It says:

4-Year Extended Warranty: Eligible units are new and unused 2011 to 2013 Can-Am Roadster models. The buyer of a 2011, 2012 or 2013 unit will receive the 24-month BRP Limited Warranty plus an 24 month B.E.S.T. extended service contract subject to a $50 deductible on each repair. Exception for Florida residents who will receive the 24-month BRP Limited Warranty plus an additional 24-month BRP Limited Warranty. See your participating BRP Can-Am dealer for all details and to receive a copy of the BRP Limited Warranty and B.E.S.T. contract.

Incentives on the old--but I am guessing on no incentives for the 2014 RT's. They have us so hyped up that we will do almost anything to get our hands on one.

Still waiting to hear if some dealers are going to try the premium price jab if they think they can get away with it. Hope I am wrong, but car dealers do it all the time on new and wonderful.

My dealer is not taking trade ins on the 2014 sales!

Could you blame them!

What will a dealer do with used 2013's no one will want?
Except new buyers that don't do their research!
But I think ANYONE plopping down 20K+ on something will do internet research... Well at least I think a majority will?
So again... I think we will see a trend of dealers not wanting 2013's as trade!

I am glad I own a 2011 RTS and plan to keep it until it cant be fixed anymore within a reasonable value.

By the way... 2014's are NOT proven yet! The 2013's got rave reviews and many upgraded. Look where they are now (cough Ann comes to mind, cough cough....). I debated HEAVILY about getting a 2013 vs saving 5K on a used low mile 2011 or 2012. It looks like I made a good decision.
Personally considering the track record on new models, I will wait a year before even considering it.

Bob
