• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My LinQ Knob Tool ain't pretty, but it works well!

I remove the RT's rear deck and mount an RT LinQ Rack for multi-day trips. The LinQ knob is too tight for my tender hands, so I used a channel-lock plier in the past and scarred the handle. I discovered a 1 1/2 in PVC pipe fit the dwells of the knob so I notched out a ~1 3/16 in gap ~ 1/2 in deep and drilled a hole to slip a screwdriver thru for leverage. It ain't pretty but it works very well.

Great idea! My 2021 did not come with tool, so I loosened the nut under the cargo box as far as I dared. It turns easier but I cannot get it to turn all the way. I have been using a adjustable wrench.

Before I purchased the tool, I used an adjustable wrench that had a hole on the end of it, I inserted a screwdriver through it and that worked great.

@RayBJ, just wanted to expand on my previous post.

There's nothing wrong with the one that you made, I like it and would have done the same if I had thought of that. :congrats:

The Base RT didn't have a tool - just a flat panel covering the LinQ socket. I bought the utility rack but wasn't aware of a tool until this thread. :dontknow:
