I took my 2014 RTL in for a laser alignment this morning. I dropped the Spyder off and walked up the street for breakfast. Upon returning, the service manager told me that they had not done an alignment. They had ridden the bike and it was indeed pulling to the right. Switching the tires around, it was pulling to the left. They had a service bulletin from Can Am about the tires and the exact problem I was experiencing. The end result was I got new front tires. What a difference it made. It rides great. I may get an alignment later, but it rides great. Also, the wheels have half the weights they did before. My hat is off to Reno,'s Powersports in south Kansas City, MO. They really took care of me. They could of just done an alignment and taken my money, but the technician went back to the bulletin. Thank you Reno's for taking care of my problem. MySpyder handles much better. Also, I had biscuits and gravy for breakfast. They were very good also.:yes::yes::yes::yes:

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Even after all of that, I'd still get a laser alignment.

I agree. I thought our two Spyders were fine until I got them both aligned. I could tell an immediate difference & the change (improvement) in my wife's '09 GS was startling!

That sounds great. Glad that they were able to go above and beyond to take care of you. But, I thought the tires were directional. If that is true, how were they able to switch the tires around, or did they dismount and then remount the tires? Either way, 2 new tires sounds like a plan to me.

Glad to hear your dealer took care of you. My friend got a 2014 RTL last year and has the same problem but the dealer told him "they all do that". He is so disgusted he is thinking of getting rid of the bike. This makes me feel bad as well because he got a Spyder on my recommendation. Good dealers are worth crowing about!

The tires are directional and I'm sure that when they replaced them they put them on in the right direction. We have found this a number of times and we do the same thing to prove the theory. If the Spyder continues to pull to the right (or left), even after being aligned, we will swap out the tires and have the owner test drive it to see if it now pulls to the left (or right). We then put the tires back on the proper side and send them to the dealer to get new ones.

I took my 14 RT to Reno's last month for the break in service and laser alignment. I haven't had any problems but just wanted to have it done. The tech test rode it and checked it and said I didn't need an alignment. They didn't charge me for anything but the break in service. I'm satisfied.
