• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My garage

Thanks to everyone. It's been a lot of fun with the real fun just starting. All of the little details take tons of time but really make it all come to life. That is if this wedding reception doesn't kill me first. I'll keep updating my album as I go. I was in the city today to visit my daughter and take more research pictures.

To Northramp: the city is much more fun even if it's not as clean as my garage.

Hi! I'm new here, nice to meet you. Your garage murals are absolutely awesome! I think you need to "upgrade" that space's name fro
"garage" to "gallery"!

I am truely impressed. You should be proud of yourself to have that much tallent. I would be happy, if I could just have a clean garage.

Thank you for sharing

Murals

If your ever in Cleveland, OH I would be honored to have you do my garage! This could be a niche business for you.

A few years back I got this crazy idea to paint murals in my garage. Since both of my kids live in Manhattan, I chose that for my design. I've worked on and off during those years but this summer was full speed ahead. We're having a back yard wedding reception soon so the pressure was on! I will do many more details in the future. I know I'm insane but being an art teacher for the past 32 years helps.
The front wall is 5th Ave looking south, the doors are 5th Ave looking north (spring). Left wall is the Village (Mamoun's and Cafe Reggio during summer) and the right wall is Central Park during the gates exhibit (winter)
This garage is always empty like this except for 2 cars and the Spyder. The closet in the corner holds all of my junk. By the way, the closet will be a news stand (with LOTS of detail)
More pics will be added to my album as walls are completed.
Check "my garage" album for more pics.

Everything on the walls is done in Benjamin Moore house paint with some acrylic paint to get exact colors and the floor is done in garage floor paint with some tinting. The man hole cover came out well but the storm drains still fool me. I paint barefoot and kind of cringe every time I step on the storm drain. Then I just laugh at myself for being so stupid. You can see more close ups in my album. Working on the doors side today. I have to paint lots of parked cars and I may try to get myself on the Spyder in the scene.

A clean garage is the sign of a sick mind. But a clean garage with beautifully painted walls is awesome. :2thumbs:

Who said I wasn't sick? I'm totally messed up for even having this idea. I've also done several murals in my school. Usually in the style of various artists that I teach about (Haring, Escher, Max, Lichtenstein, etc.).
