• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My first "Tupperware" party

Well, it's too lousy to ride this time of year, so I'm putzing with the RT. Decided to hardwire in my GPS power. I opted to just run a wire under the seat and panels, and back to the power outlet in the trunk. I mounted the GPS bracket to the dash so it will stay on the bike all the time. I move my Garmin Nuvi 1450 from my car to the bike when I need it. I drilled a small hole between the steering and the speaker grate and fed the wire down through and back to the power. When the GPS is not on the bike, I'll just push the wire down into the dash cavity underneath. The fitting on the end will keep the wire accessible. When I need it, I'll just pull a few inches out and voila....
As for the plastics/panels...I hate it all. Never seems to be a snug fit when ya get it all back together. All the grommets and everything went together like it's supposed to, but you know how it goes. My ST1300 was the same way. Wasn't that bad of a job, but just tedious.
Where is the sun???:sour:

Congratulations..!!

always like the diy stories with a happy ending. As you bump down the road you will see those panels realign...:roflblack: then all will be well in the world....

Well I was bored also, so I decided to do a Tupperware party. I added a Siriusxm radio on the dash. I ran the audio cable to the trunk so it will work through my audio system. I also installed a docking station in my truck so I can move the radio from the Spyder to the truck. Also I will be installing a docking station on my boat.

Everything is working great, just have to put it all back together now.
